Myth regarding vocal rangešŸŽ¤

So another myth that I want to discuss with you guys is myth of vocal range . The normal range for a singer is Madhya saptak  'pa' to taar saptak 'pa' . After that it depends upon the singer that which way he can rise . Singers sometimes hurt their throats while singing on a scale they can't . For achieving a higher scale you need years of training . It's not just a peice of cake . A proper guidance is required to acheive higher scales . My advice in this criteria would be focus on the area where you can sing easily and try one step at a time . Don't try to jump to higher notes . There are singers such as jagjit singh that have taught us that if you feel in your voice scale doesn't matter that much .

the fear of singing

There are crores of people in my country who can sing but only few know how to control their voice . Sometimes there's a god gift but sometimes you just have to make your voice yourself . I myself was not a good singer but I tried and my dedication had made me a better singer . Singing is not just about how a person's throat is it's also about feelings . If you feel good you sing good . A technique I have learned is that never sing in a resting mode . Sing in a energetic mode with full enthusiasm so that you can reach high notes as well as you know how to have a grip on the low ones . If wanna learn true singing follow artists such as Nusrat fateh ali khan , mohammad rafi , lata mangeshkar etc .

myth regarding time

So today I am gonna describe you that how much timešŸ•› it takes to be a musician or a singer . It's answer is simple . There is no fixed time . Some people may take years to attain something in music while some may take a day for the same . It's just that how well you understand the concept . As I said earlier music is connected to feelings if we vibe in the same way as our music does we are on the right path. Most people will say that it will take a year or two to learn music but according to me learning never stops . It starts with the day you are introduced to it and ends with your last breath.

myth regarding theory

Yo guys ! I have covered only practical concepts but this is my first blog about theory . If you don't know the theory of music you are just a artist but not a musician . I personally have gone through it and I would advice anyone pursuing music to go through it once , it will surely help you . Some may not consider it important as they would think of it as a waste of time but you can judje yourself as you read it . It would include the details such as what did the ancient singers did for their voice and full knowledge about Indian or Western instruments . Raags an important part of Indian music can only be understood if you have its concepts clear . Theory of music is fading day by day but we should know that it is the greatest gift that our Ancestors have left for us.
